Fortune 500 company Mosaic Fertilizer is moving to Florida. Mosaic follows a trail of different companies headquartered in MN who have left, either on their own or as a result of a merger or acquisition. Majority Leader Paul Gazelka handed out his own list during the tax bill debate this week.
He posted on Social Media:
While they all go for different reasons, the fact remains that we are losing these mainstays of the Minnesota economy and we aren't replacing them. And even if it isn't the primary reasons, corporate taxes, as well as individual tax rates, certainly figure into HQ location decisions.
