ST. PAUL –  Phil Krinkie, President of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota and supporters of the No Constitutional Tax Increase campaign revealed the new television ad that will be airing statewide.  The ad highlights the fact that several major newspapers have come out opposing the Constitutional Tax Increase.

The ad is in response to the proponents of the Constitutional tax increase claiming that Minnesotans won’t be able to swim in our lakes or eat the fish we catch.  In addition, they make an exaggerated claim that our state drinking water is threatened.

"Minnesotans voters deserve the facts on the Constitutional tax increase amendment," said Krinkie.  "We are proud that groups like the Minnesota Farm Bureau, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, and the National Federation of Independent Business are educating voters about why statewide sales tax is unnecessary."

Former U.S. Senator Rod Grams, Chairman of the No Sales Tax Increase campaign, is the spokesman in the television ad and text appears in the ad with quotes from the Minneapolis Star Tribune, St. Cloud Times, and St. Paul Pioneer Press criticizing the proposed sales tax increase.
