State-Based Public Policy Internships

The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) and the State Policy Network (SPN) are offering excellent internship opportunities for Summer 2009. The eight-week State-Based Fellow Program places interns in free-market think tanks in their home state, giving the skills and experience necessary to influence public policy at the state level. Interns will also spend two weeks in Washington, DC for career and policy workshops and opportunities to network.

Freedom Foundation City Spotlight: St. Louis Park

After spending almost two years and hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars; after installing eight miles of fiber-optic cable and 490 16-foot-tall poles on which unsightly solar panels and wireless radios were hoisted; and after several delays and countless technical failures, St. Louis Park is finally abandoning its wireless plans, at least for the foreseeable future...
